Cocaine is a central nervous system stimulant and an appetite suppressant derived from coca leaf leaves. Cocaine easily enters the brain when it is absorbed by the body. In the brain, causing an accumulation of dopamine, in which high levels continuously stimulate nerve cells, causing euphoria, or the "high" we hear.

Although it is considered illegal for possession, cultivation and distribution of cocaine for non-medical purposes and not authorized by the government in practically all parts of the world, it is one of the most freely traded products in the world. Since its discovery, it has destroyed many lives throughout history due to its addictive properties.

The use of cocaine is cancer that prevails in all socioeconomic strata and does not respect age, demography, economic, social, political, religious and livelihood aspects.

With a high abuse of any drug leads to a long-term health complication. Some of the effects of cocaine drug abuse are frequent effects of the heart attack, which leads to the sudden death of the abuser. With high respiratory effects, the heartbeat stops suddenly and the abuser can die within minutes. The cocaine abuser can be affected by the seizure and cannot walk for the rest of his life. Long-term complications due to cocaine drug abuse include increased blood pressure, chest pain, blurred vision, muscle spasms, seizures and may be in a coma.

  • Effects of cocaine on the brain

One aspect of health that can be drastically affected by cocaine intake is the brain. Cocaine affects the brain by increasing central nervous system activity and having many negative effects. When cocaine is consumed, blood vessels in the brain are forced to contract significantly, so it is quite common for cocaine users to suffer strokes. Although most people associate strokes with older people, even very young and healthy people who are not normally at risk of stroke can suffer from this disease due to cocaine use. In addition, the effects of cocaine on the brain can also cause dangerous seizures or even violent behavior.

  • Effects of cocaine on the heart

Along with the brain, the heart is another part of the body that suffers significantly due to cocaine use. When cocaine is consumed, the heart rate and blood pressure decrease, while the arteries that supply blood to the heart contract. If you continue the use of cocaine, it is not uncommon for cocaine use to lead to a heart attack. As with strokes, these heart attacks can occur even in young people who do not suffer from symptoms of heart disease. In addition, cocaine use can also affect the heart by causing arrhythmia.

  • Effects of cocaine on the respiratory system

Depending on how cocaine is ingested, the drug can also cause serious damage to the respiratory system. If cocaine is snorted or inhaled, the nose and sinuses can be severely damaged and cause severe nasal perforations. By contrast, those who choose to smoke cocaine in solid form can help preserve the health of their nose and sinuses, but instead, they will suffer permanent lung damage. No matter how cocaine is consumed, the effects on the respiratory system can be devastating.

Depending on the habits of the addict, he or she may find two different sets of effects of cocaine use. Usually, short term effect of using cocaine starts immediately, depending on the method the addict uses to allow cocaine to enter the bloodstream. The user feels an immediate euphoria that encourages a quick and erratic conversation and a greater awareness of the objects with bright colors. The user may feel the need to stay awake for hours or days at a time, depending on the amount of this drug ingested. The effects of cocaine usually disappear between half an hour and two hours after use.

Cocaine creates one of the highest peaks, but there are several short-term effects that show that even an attempt is extremely detrimental to a person's well-being. Many of the dangerous and unwanted side effects occur almost immediately and eventually become permanent effects that destroy the lives of users. These are some of the short term and immediate effects of cocaine use:

  • Nasal hemorrhages and inflammation of the nasal tissue by inhaling cocaine powder
  • Adverse reactions: Since cocaine is often mixed with other chemicals when sold on the street, users often ingest additional things that they are not aware of and may have bad reactions to these chemicals.
  • Short intense high, followed by an extremely low fall, which can lead to depression and depressive behavior
  • Increased heart rate, high blood pressure, high body temperature and rapid breathing, such as gasping
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Extreme moods, ranging from excitement and feelings of supremacy to irritability, panic, and paranoia.
  • Erratic and unpredictable behavior
  • Drug Binge
  • A mix of drugs and alcohol to increase sensations.
  • Loss of sleep
  • Convulsion, seizures, strokes, coma
  • Violent behavior and bad decisions
  • Itching sensation, as if the insects were crawling on the user's skin.

The above effects vary from person to person. Some people may find cocaine useful for performing physical and mental tasks quickly, while others may experience the opposite effects. Excessive cocaine use can also lead to unpredictable and violent side effects.
